It seems during the Turbostar range, many cab interiors were primarily grey.
But now they seem to be blue (thinking 350, 450, Class 70).

Although the Class 68 has gone back to a black and grey colour scheme.

The only thing I can think of is back when Bombardier was throwing out nearly all the trains, their colour scheme was grey.
Now Siemens are on the scene in quite a major way, it appears there's a lot more blue around as that's their standard colour.

The cab interior of a TfW class 158 is dark blue as there was (still is) a problem reading the ERTMS screens. The drivers on the Cambrian wear dark blue shirts too. Maybe this is a factor with the stock you’re enquiring about.

Class 158 desks have always been blue.

A lot of BR EMU cabs were pale green for a long time. London Underground went through a blue phase when it refurbished a lot of its rolling stock.

313's were bright Yellow, when in Silverlink Colours, on SN, during the refurb they were re-sprayed light blue. Much more pleasing on the eye.

Thought the question was about the whole cab interior? That was repainted after the drivers complained they couldn’t see the screens due to the reflection of the lighter coloured interior.
