Evening all, just having a look at booking some tickets for the WHR and Ffestiniog whilst we are staying in North Wales for a few weeks later in the year. Tickets for the lines are on the pricier side but in my opinion is definitely worth it just for the scenery and history of the lines. We'd be looking at doing 2 rounds trips on each whilst we are visiting. From what I can see it looks to be cheaper to join the societies of each of them and to use the free travel agreements than to purchase these tickets without and that's just for 1 return let alone 2. Surely this doesn't make any viable business sense to offer this or have I misunderstood this in a spectacular fashion. Either way I don't want to "abuse" society privileges so I wouldn't join just that reason.
