The Network SouthEast Railway Society was dissolved last year, leaving only the holding company (THE NETWORK SOUTH EAST RAILWAY SOCIETY LIMITED) to take care of 421753 (the original "Chris Green" EMU).

Who owns the rights to the NSE brand now? Is it still the holding company? If not, who did Southeastern ask to get the rights for the NSE livery on 465908?

The DfT, as per most legacy brands from British Railways. Eg, Intercity, Reggie Railways, NSE etc.

Does anyone know why the society dissolved?

Network SouthEast Friends, as the “phoenix club” is known, has full permission from the DfT to use the brand for non profit making activities, and has custody and agreed protection for articles from that period. If anyone wishes to use the brand for these activities - please contact using the website below
