I thought I rode past you when you were waiting at the bus stop, or have you seen me a second time that I'm not aware of?
Aside from that passing sighting at the bus stop in Fernhill Road, there was one other occasion although I don't think ye would've seen me from where ye were.

Cast thy mind back to when Victoria Road had been shut for drainage works a short while ago and all of the traffic was being diverted around the wrong side of Cove Green. It was in the evening and after dark (Probabally just gone 22:00 or 23:00 - It was a late bus I was on), ye were riding that 50cc whiny silver Boeing thing of yours heading towards West Heath, and as ye approached the roundabout ye missed the offside rear corner of the bus by no more than half an inch - We'd had to swing out into thy lane a little to take the rather sharp turn into that road!:lol::razz:

I didn't realise that it was ye at first although thy machine did look familiar. It was only when I recognised thy number plate as ye went around the roundabout that I knew it was ye!<D

You'll meet me one day Damon, I am the Farnborough Local veg :D!
Another Farnborough veg? (Current location in Kingston noted though) At this rate it might be worth us petitioning to have platform 3 (Basingstoke bound) reinstated at FNB for use as a rolling stock parking area!:lol::razz:

--- Old bit above / New bit below: ---

Incidentally, I was out and about in the Farnborough and Surbiton areas yesterday (FNB dep 14:32 > SUR, SUR dep 20:02 > AHT)...Did my fugly mug crack anyone's camera whilst I was storming about? <D

I remember the diversions and I would have been around at about that time of day on the way back from work - I just don't remember nearly hitting a bus. Was I at fault or was it the bus? It couldn't have been that close or I'd have surely remembered it?

Actually it couldn't have been me - my Cygnus (now not in my posession) was 125cc and not the stated 50cc in your post ;)

He lives in the Teddington area I believe, but for some reason spends a lot of time in Farnborough on that footbridge round the back of Chingford Avenue.

From what I can remember, ye came quite close to the bus as we were completing our turn into the road. Bear in mind that for a full-size bus to do a left turn there, it'll need to take up both lanes and cut across half of the roundabout to be able to do it without cutting over the pavement. :)

I know full well that ye didn't hit us or come too close for comfort (I would've warned the driver and stopped the vehicle immediateley in the former case) but if ye had looked up the road, seen us coming and slowed down a little bit to give us time to complete our turn, then we'd have missed ye by a much safer several metres! 8)

Actually it couldn't have been me - my Cygnus (now not in my posession) was 125cc and not the stated 50cc in your post ;)
I don't care if it was 5cc, 50cc, 125cc or 1250cc...The thing still sounded like a hairdryer to me whenever ye rode past me, hence my always referring to thy former scooter as a "baby Boeing!":razz:;)

And incidently I've had a "Cygnus" for years as well...But it's no scooter. The "Cygnus" that I possess is a hex-editing program on my PC! :?

He lives in the Teddington area I believe, but for some reason spends a lot of time in Farnborough on that footbridge round the back of Chingford Avenue.
Plenty of non-stop freight movements visible from that bridge during the average weekday, isn't there? 8)

Personally I'd hang around there a bit myself if there was any traction coming through Farnborough that I found was worth waiting for...But until they start running regular HSTs, 370s, 373s or 390s along that stretch of line at full-power, I'm probabally not going to worry about it, to be honest. :|
I know that we get a lot of 158s/159s along there now...But the engines on them don't have the same Dragon's roar or distinct Northern "feel" that they used to have before SWT refurbished them all...:cry:<(

Perhaps both?

Well not met me, but he was with Loader on the More and Moor (or which ever round the words are) so I've seen him too, not spoken though.

I never did the More and Moor, me and Jamie did the Choppington Changer. ;)

Yes, and you!

And Mark too

That's why I didn't make a list, I'd have forgotten loads of people

One person I've not seen mentioned yet is Double Trigger - he was a member here (albeit only for about 10 minutes) :p

When these lists appear, the clever thing to do is to wait for everybody else to post, then instead of writing a long list you just write
"I've met everybody who has listed me above" ;)

AlexS
Coxster
TheGricer
Metroland

Slash: Bmth_pway too.

And me, at Wandsworth Road for a bit :)
Ah yes - the day he took some EMU pictures came around London with me and TheGricer, and we randomly bumped into you and Memorex. You guys seemed to make off pretty quick. Couldn't have been more than about two minutes. They were your early Emo days weren't they?
