On my travels today and I'm wondering why White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds doesn't have a station. Is it just me that's a bit baffled?
It’s getting one on the TPE line. Personally I think it would make more sense on the less congested Wakefield line.
The Wakefield Line is nowhere near, the Huddersfield line runs just behind
White Rose is more than the shopping centre - there is an office park there with a shortage of car parking. The new station should attract some of the commuters heading there.
As a Leodisian, the WR offers two thing that town can’t: firstly, everything that’s there is within a 5 minute walk, but more importantly FREE, level car parking. Parking in Leeds is utterly ridiculous and so expensive. The ramps between floors in the Trinity NCP are so steep that many normal cars scrape their bumpers on the floor as they come down.
