Confirmation now published (see link below) confirming Silver street's post; the new stairs and lifts will not be ready until "Summer 2019".

- Redevelopment of White Hart Lane station – with additional stairs and lift access, making the station step-free (to be complete spring 2019 but fully operational in the meantime). Alongside this, a fleet of new high capacity, air-conditioned trains will be introduced by London Overground from spring 2019. There will also be an enhanced timetable for every event day.

- Increased frequency on the West Anglia Main Line (WAML).

Its been announced this evening that the NEW Spurs stadium could stage first competitive game v Crystal Palace on Weds 3rd April , depending on FA Cup results on 17 March with Test evrents on 24 and 30 March ...see

So will the new WHL Station be open ? I had a look at Northumberland Park last week and that looks 90% complete.

There are a couple of minutes showing the progress at WHL station as of 14 March (from about 50s) on this vlog. Nowhere near being ready for 3 April - the planned midweek opening v Palace.

There seems to be a bit more progress being made with the structure of the new building now. Is there any new estimate of when the new structure will be ready?

I noticed that after this weekend, the following 8 weekends have a complete shutdown of the West Anglia lines, and I was wondering if this was to support the works taking place here? I may be completely wrong though.

It is to support the renewal and rebuilding of various infrastructure between Bethnal Green and London Liverpool Street which is also affecting the GE.

London Liverpool Street is to be reduced to about 6 or 7 platforms (platforms 13-18 I think) with all the local services suspended / rerouted / to start elsewhere. Only intercity, Stansted Express and a few selected popular destinations will continue to run into London Liverpool Street.

I imagine they will take the closure to their advantage and work on the White Hart Lane station at the same time.

Another vlog (see 0:20 to 5:30) showing progress for anyone interested. Difficult to believe that the intention to have the new staircases open for the start of the coming season is on schedule, though the posters shown in the video still include "opening summer 2019".

As a season-ticket holder, with an interest in railways, I appreciate the video re WHL station, but its out of date as it was clearly taken 2 weeks before the new stadium openend and I have been in it for a few games .Also is there a thread regarding the rebuilt Northumberland Park station (thats a TFL/GA station on the east side of WHL ?

Can confirm this has now opened, passed through here today on the train. The old entrance at the rear of the southbound platform and front of the northbound platform is closed.

Transport for London (TfL) has today unveiled a new-look White Hart Lane station, providing step-free access from street to platform for the first time.

The new station entrances to the London Overground station will provide quicker and easier access for local commuters and those using the station for home matches and other event days at our stadium.

A new bright and airy ticket hall sits at the heart of the station, providing central and direct access to the platforms, meaning customers can move between the street and trains more quickly.

Two new station entrances provide better access to the ticket hall - one on Love Lane, creating a better connection with Tottenham High Road, and the second providing access via Penhurst Road for the first time...

A much needed capacity increase for the amount of people that pass through here on event days - but just generally improving for all the reguar users of the station. I was only passing through on the train so didn't see anything in particular but there is a good photo in the above article.

Doesn't look like the lifts are quite ready yet though...
