Got to be Voyager for me ....

Probably DS9 although TNG was pretty good too, both of them improved over time, signified by Riker and Sisko sprouted beards.

Voyager was okay, the main problem was it had far too many annoying main characters (Janeway, Kes, Neelix and Tom Paris). I never really got into TOS or Enterprise.

Wandering very slightly off topic, I’d rank the films:

1 – First contact (VIII)
2 – Undiscovered Country (VI)
3 – Wrath of Khan (II)
4 – The Search for Spock (III)
5 – Star Trek (XI)
6 – Nemesis (X)
7 – The Voyage Home (IV)
8 – Insurrection (IX)
9 – Generations (VII)
10 – The Motion Picture (I)
11 – The final frontier (V)

Aside from Final Frontier which was truly awful I liked all of them.

For me, DS9 only got good after the Defiant joined, as that's when the whole Dominion storyline began. It got really good during the war, and it's one of my favorite Trek stories there's ever been.

Because it is rubbish! The idea that this Vulcan can convince the highly trained and very experienced starfleet officers to go to Shakira (or whatever it's called) on the basis of them sharing their inner pain is just ridiculous.

As for Kirk taking on 'God' and winning! I give up!

The best one is The Wrath of Khan (KHAAAAAN!!!) closely followed by The Undiscovered Country (anyone else notice Christian Slater when they first saw it?), the rest are fairly interchangeable, except The Final Frontier which definately is the worst.

For me, it's TNG, closely followed by Voyager. I haven't watched Enterprise at all, and DS9 is incredibly dull in my view.

The Original Series is ridiculously camp and I can't take it seriously at all!

Seconded. Word for word! TNG had the best combination of acting and plot. Characters were good quality throughout all series I think. "Best of both worlds", "Times Arrow" and the finale "All good things" are simply brilliant examples if Sci Fi. Oh and of course Seven of Nine in that outfit.....

Oh no, a prequel sequel. Can't we have "proper" Star Trek films back; Nemesis (Which is my favourite Star Trek film btw, followed by The Undiscovered Country, I can't understand why the former met with such little success) set itself up perfectly for a follow on film.

Mark Leonard played Sarek and a Romulan commander in TOS and aparently he is a Klingon somewhere aswell.

Michael Dorn was Worf in TNG (and DS9 and associated films) and Star Trek 6 (he doesn't look that old to me!).

Rene Auberjonois played three characters in two series and Star Trek 6.

Jeffrey Combs has played eight characters over the Star Trek universe (including the Wayoun clones in DS9) and he was in B5 too!.

Majel Barrett (Roddenberry's wife) played Nurse chapel, 'Number one' in the pilot episode, Deana Troi's mother and she was the voice of the computer onboard most of the Federation ships (not TOS).

Brent Spiner plays five characters (Data, B-4, Lore, Noonian Soong, Arik Soong)

And those are just the main ones.

I'll let them off with these two, the Worf from the film was supposed to be TNG Worf's grandfather, and Brent Spiner's characters were 3 androids of the same model, their creator (who made them in his own image) and his grandfather.

Jeffrey Combs has played eight characters over the Star Trek universe (including the Wayoun clones in DS9) and he was in B5 too!.

There was one DS9 episode where Weyoun and Brunt (another JC character) were in the same scene together, very silly.


The guy who paid Tom Paris in Voyager was also in a TNG episode, oddly enough playing a very Tom Paris-esque character, a cocky start fleet cadet who ended up getting booted out of star fleet academy. Always thought it would have been better if when the actor was cast in Voyager, they simply changed Tom Paris's character name to match his TNG one, would have been a nice link back to the earlier series.

Mark Lenard was a Klingon in Star Trek: The Motion Picture - killed by V'ger at the start of the film.

IIRC there was also the chap in TOS who played The Squire of Gothos and returned in a later season to play a Klingon. I think he was called William Campbell?

I had to google this one, but, yes he played Koloth in 'The Trouble with Tribbles' and then reprised the role in DS9's 'Blood Oath'.
