Which Southern services allocate and timetable Class 377 for Sutton (Surrey) station?

Hello there,

New person here so please excuse if it is the wrong place so moderators move it or lock it if required. Also tried searching for this but had no luck.

Was wondering whether anyone knows the Class 377 rolling stock allocation and timetable for train operating company Southern especially for Sutton (Surrey) National Rail Station.

Am looking for weekdays and weekends (of course barring engineering works) and whether Class 377 operates on a Sunday or is it just consists of Class 455 and/or 456. Exact times of services that use the class 377 that call, terminate or start at Sutton (Surrey) station would be extremely grateful.

Do think this would change once the Class 456 are transferred to South West Trains and when more Class 377s replace and operate on the metro line.

Last summer (19th May 2012) I visited Sutton brieftly, for about 30-45 minutes. From what I can gather, services using platforms 3 and 4 (to Epsom Downs or to Victoria via Norbury) are by 455's. Services to/from Horsham are almost certainly going to be 377's, services to/from Dorking have a high chance of being 377's, and services to/from Epsom have a chance of being a 456 or a 377.

This is just what I've gathered from one afternoon though, hopefully it's of some use. I'm sure someone will be able to offer more information :P

I was there recently on Monday last week, and was on a 455 to Epsom, and noted a 377/4 on the Epsom Downs service.

Looking at the 377/4 diagrams for 2013, there is a few booked to do Epsom and a handful on Epsom Down and Sutton terminators mainly in the morning and peak, along with the Wimbledon Loop

The following services are booked for a 377 on a weekday:

To Victoria via Norbury at 0644, 0714, 0722, 0915, 0923, 1052, 1145, 1252, 1345, 1522, 1622, 1652, 1713, 2122 and 2320*.

To Victoria Via Crystal Palace at 0903, 1103, 1333, 1833, 1905, 2033, 2132 and 2205.

To Victoria Via Mitcham Junction at 0637, 0726, 0742, 0812, 0820**, 0848, 0923, 1052, 1122, 1129, 1152, 1252, 1259, 1322, 1352, 1452, 1459, 1529, 1552, 1629, 1652, 1659, 1729, 1757, 1952, 2036, 2106 and 2255.

To London Bridge via Forest Hill at 0603 and 0805.

*Terminates at West Croydon
** To London Bridge via Peckham Rye

Weekends will vary, especially Sunday's. I've found that in the past Dorking services are often pairs if only 2 of the 4 services via Mitcham are running.

To "Southern" user, do you mind if I kindly ask / list down the booked Class 377 services on weekdays that go from London Victoria / London Bridge to Sutton (Surrey) via Norbury, Mitcham Junction, Forest Hill to Dorking, Horsham, Epsom, Sutton and Epsom Downs and the others you know that are timetabled. Aka the vice versa route that services you gave me would be extremely appreciated.

0545 West Croydon - Sutton is 2x377, working the 0603 back; 0553 Norwood Junction - Epsom Downs is 2x377, which go onto work the 0634 return to Victoria departing Sutton at 0644; the other service is the 0639 Sutton - Guildford, returning at 0724 and departing Sutton at 0805. You also have the 0730 London Bridge - Wimbledon, which continues to Sutton (departing at 0820) and back to London Bridge via Mitcham Junction.
