Two are on hire to GBRf for the Caledonian Sleeper at the moment. The current pair is 90042 & 047, but these rotate out with other 90s as exams come up.

They often work a few services to and from Coatbridge such as:
  • 4M49 14:05 Coatbridge F.L.T. to Crewe Basford Hall
  • 4M27 0715 Coatbridge F.L.T. to Daventry Int Rft Recep Fl
  • 4S44 1213 Daventry Int Rft Recep Fl to Coatbridge F.L.T.
  • 4S45 1839 Daventry Int Rft Recep Fl to Coatbridge F.L.T.

They sometimes work 4L81 1926 Coatbridge to London Gateway, but that's more likely to be 86s from what I've seen.

The Class 90 Electric Loco Group has a dedicated site:
http://www.class90electriclocogroup.co.uk/
Specifically Freightliner operations (with pictures!) can be found here:
http://www.class90electriclocogroup.co.uk/freightliner.html
Small extract:
Freightliner
This train company operates various types of freight trains across the UK and includes container trains to places such as Ipswich, Garston, Coatbridge, Trafford Park, Southampton, Tilbury and Felixstowe.
This webpage provides information on those services which use class 90s on container trains.
Freightliner has a pool of 10 class 90s which are used to operate freight and passenger services on hire to GBRF for sleepers on an ad-hoc basis and they are all leased from Porterbrook.

Not any more?
From Class 90 Electric Loco Group website (link above):
27/10/17 - 90041 returns to Crewe
Posted by: 90008 at 06:33, October 28 2017.
Friday 27th October 2017
On the above date 90041 was finally released from Leeds Midland Road following the completion of the wheelset overhaul programme. The FL90 was initially dragged as a light engine movement from Leeds to Ipswich via the ECML and Ely by 66523. Upon arrival at Ipswich, the loco was attached to 4S88 and was subsequently dragged DITL to Crewe. At the time of writing it was not known what worked 4S88 from Ipswich to Crewe (tba).
