Don't know how far you want to go back. Being Bristol-based until 1973, I saw all the various classes of Warship plus Hymeks and Westerns, and the EM2 electrics. After that all the renumbering which went on would have made record-keeping a bit of a chore and I soon moved on to photography.

Steam (classes of 5 or more only) - GW County, Grange, Manor, 1361, 1500, 4700, 7200. Southern Merchant Navy only, LMS and LNER none apparently, BR standard Britannia, 77xxx and 82xxx. There were a lot of classes where I just missed two or three though.

During my years involved in train construction or shortly thereafter, I can say with certainty that I saw every Class 165, 166, 168, 175, 180, 319, 320, 321, 322, 325, 334, 458, 460 and 390. In train maintenance/ servicing, all of Class 57/3, 87, 323, 82XXX DVT and others. I know that I have commuted on every 220, 221, 323 and 390 and behind every Class 86/1, 86/2 and 87.

As a younger enthusiast I can claim to have 'cleared' for sight Classes 01, 05, 13, 25, 27, 31, 40, 44, 45, 46, 47, 50, 55, 56, 58, all of 81-91 and every HST. As for units, I never bothered to record, unless in a later paid-for capacity!
Gosh that's a lot

Which classes of trains have I completed? None - I don't build trains ;) ( HAHAHAHAHA etc)

I have seen ( and travelled on) all members of classes 97,950 and 230.
An impressive feat to have been on 230002 while it was here. If you want it now you have to go all the way to America

I personally have been on all members of

91, 150/1, 153/9, 156/5, 156/9, 158/8, 159, 165/0, 166, 168, 170, 171, 172, 175, 195, 220, 221, 222, 313/2, 318, 319/2, 319/3, 320, 321/3, 321/9, 322, 323, 331, 333, 334, 345, 350, 357, 360, 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 380, 387, 395, 444, 450, 455, 456, 458, 465, 466, 700, 707, 710/1, 717, 745, 800, 801/1 and 802

I have just missed out on clearing 139 (had both except the current 999001), 155 (had all current 155s but some 153s were scrapped that I needed), 165/1 (had all except Ladbroke Grove 165115), 230 (had all LNR ones but not 001/002), 317/5 (scrapped 503 just as I was close to clearing) and 390 (had all except Grayrigg 390033) :)

It was hard and wouldn’t have been doable without regular gen from some very, very kind members of this forum.

it hasn't always been in the USA ;)
I know I’m commending you for being so quick! I missed the opportunity to take it in Bo’ness and now regret it!

Just to throw another factor into the mix; while it is normally quite clear what a sighting consists of is there a clear definition of what having a traction item for haulage means, in particular minimum distance? If that seems pedantic in the days of mass loco-haulage there were "bashers", mostly those with Priv facilities/boxes, who insisted a loco was only cleared for haulage at 1,000 miles. I also came across one who wouldn't count a move unless it was for at least 50 miles, ruling out Birmingham to Derby or Cheltenham! Equally there were bashers who would happily scratch off locos just between Manchester's Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations.

I doubt there is one clear definition for haulage, if someone wants to put a mileage requirement then they can, but someone else may be happy in saying they've had something for haulage if it's a short hop down a line.

For me i'm not too fussed about haulage, but for sight have cleared the following classes: 159 (both /0 and /1), 166, 220, and 332, as well as having the sole 950. I might have cleared the 322's but can't be certain so will review documents to find out. In addition all of the following sub-classes: 800/0, 800/3, 802/0, 802/1, 802/3, 57/6.

Of those not cleared, it becomes difficult to do due to living the wrong side of the country and/or are scrapped, even a week of standing at platform ends in the north or Scotland would still leave gaps to fill. The 143's will forever remain 23/25 as i was young when the others were scrapped, same for 165/1's as Ladbroke Grove happened a few months after being born, and for the 43's i've had 156 for sight with most of the remaining 38 left hiding up in Scotland to achive a maximum of 194 out of 197.

Might see if I can find my old books from the 90's and try and decipher my logging of seen & been on's! From the amount of time spent on rover tickets - particularly South & West Yorkshire, Manchester, and the North East - in the last 30-odd years, I suspect the following's about accurate as I stopped recording it in the late 90's:

All 321/9's - Seen & Been on
All 322's - Seen & Been on
All 89 - Seen & Been on
All 144's - Seen & Been on (a staple of WYPTE DayRover's, the SYPTE Train and Bus one, and regulars on the Sheffield-Adwick in their last years)
All 91's - Definitely Seen, probably been on
All 141's - Definitely Seen, probably been on
All 185's - Probably seen, probably been on
All 222's - Probably seen, probably been on
All 333's - Probably seen, probably been on

[edit] found a book from 1993, confirms definitely that all 141's and 144's had been seen by then. Also:

All 87's, apart from 87017, by that point (this was before I stopped spotting and moved to Stafford for a few years, so possibly have)
All 150/1's, except 150141
All but a handful of 142's
All 43's, there's a line down all the numbers - I guess I must've had them before 1993 - & a number of them underlined, not sure if the underlines are "been on" or "seen again"

What happens with renumberings? To have cleared the Deltics, say, has one to have seen them in each incarnation as D9000, 9000 and 55022?

What!!! Only lightweights* would do it that way; you need to see every Deltic in every livery it carried as well, so plain green (GNYP), GSYP, GFYE, Corporate Blue and Blue with white cockpits or other embellishments, wherever appropriate!!!

I have managed to tick off all of the surviving class 507s and class 508s for haulage.

I've also managed to get a ride on all the TfW 175s now (wow!)

Plus, I imagine, seeing them in undercoat with their works numbers on. Thus D9000 would've been #1, D9001 #2 and so on.

On a more serious note, if you've seen, say, HST power car 43102 with a Valenta engine, do you need to see it as 43302 with a different power unit too?

I would say that this is a far greater distinction than for a non-ETH, then ETH-fitted Class 47 (one example).

Although back in the day, I did draw the distinction between such loco renumberings.

If I can count classes where vehicles were scrapped before I started in the hobby, I can also add 142, 143, 150, 165 and 507.

For me, I have ridden behind every
67, 68, 91
and travelled in every
139, 144, 153, 156, 158, 159, 165, 166, 168, 170, 171, 172, 175, 180, 185, 195
220, 221, 222
313, 314, 315, 317, 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 331, 332, 333, 334, 345, 350, 357, 360, 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 380, 385, 387, 390, 395, 397
442, 444, 450, 455, 456, 458, 465, 466
700, 707, 717, 745
800, 801, 802

Missing units due to early withdrawal in otherwise cleared classes (142, 143, 150, 365, 507, 508):
142008, 142059, 143613, 143615, 150212, 365526, 507022, 508118

230, 710 clear to the number of units in service.

But if 'cleared' means 1000 miles on each unit then it is just the 166s cleared.

For haulage, I've had all of the following Classes:
43, 67, 68, 87, 89, 90, 91.

Turning to DMUs, I've similarly had all of the following:
139, 141, 143, 144, 153, 155, 156, 159, 166, 168, 170, 171, 172, 175, 180, 185, 195, 220, 221, 222.
I missed 1x142 (059), the two cars from 150209/212 that were written off early on and 165115. I do not 're-do' if a unit gets reclassified eg 155 to 153, 171 to 170.

On EMUs, the following Classes are cleared for haulage:
313, 314, 315, 317*, 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 331, 333, 334, 357, 360, 375, 376, 377, 379, 380, 399, 444, 450, 455, 456, 458, 465, 466, 707, 801, 803
Similar to DMUs, I missed some early withdrawals such as 365526. And I can't remember if I had all the 312s or not!
