Hoping someone can settle my memory for me.
2 or 3 years ago (may be slightly more; 2020 barely exists in my head), a class 37 was launched back into service at the Wensleydale Railway after a fairly big overhaul, only to suffer a serious engine failure very quickly, causing it to be withdrawn indefinitely.
All I can remember is that I’m sure it was in a BR grey livery and I presume it was either 37250 (which I believe is due to haul its first passenger services in some time very soon) or the recently evicted and much-discussed 37674. The number I had in my head was 37274 but apparently that is 37402’s former identity so probably my brain has mixed up the numbers of the first two I mentioned!
Anyone able to set me straight?
