Does anyone know or can speculate where depots are going to be for HS2. Obviously the start and the beginning but I'm more wondering in the middle? Is Alesbury or somewhere in the Chilterns a option?

Really off subject to the original bit I didn't fancy starting a new thread.

I thought something was proposed at Calvert ? There is stuff in the HS2 documentation that's online.

I thought Calvert aswel, I remember when I used to go down there a few years ago that plans for HS2 were there but wasn't entirely sure if it was a depot or not.
Birmingham is abit far for what I'm wanting, I suppose it's still a fresh-ish project and plans are fluid.
I'm trying to check out my future options.

Thank you for the replies!

It’s definitely an HS2 infrastructure maintenance at Calvert. A drawing was posted a few days ago in the EWR construction thread:

The main rolling stock depot will be at Washwood Heath in Birmingham, on the site of the former Alstom factory. This will also be where the Signalling Centre and Control for the route are located.

I imagine there will be some outstabling at Euston (and, initially, Old Oak Common), as well as some use of existing depots in Glasgow/Edinburgh etc.

Phase 2b proposals include provision for a further rolling stock depot at Crewe, and there was also to be a depot near Leeds, but this is now very unlikely to go ahead.

There will be an infrastructure maintenance depot near Calvert, around halfway between Birmingham and London. Also one near Stone, around halfway between Birmingham and Crewe.
