That's Wimbledon.

Looking towards London, taken from the second footbridge to the west of Wimbledon - the station is just on the other side of the buildings over the track.

Blimey that was quick !

Thanks

I live in Epsom so it's pretty much literally in my back yard... an area I am very familiar with. I've also used the first footbridge ( just visible about half way towards the buildings in the background ) for photos myself.

To the right of the picture is what was the Area S&T Engineers offices, I worked there for awhile prior to the Clapham Junction Rail crash but had moved on to BRB in Paddington by the time of the crash.

The buildings in the background over the track are the backs of shops and offices on Wimbledon High Street. The road overbridge is a huge raft that includes the station forecourt, and on it there is no clue that you are over the railway. Except in steam days the entire structure shook like an earthquake when an express hauled by a Bulleid pacific passed under.
