Where is this, please?

This photo was in an article in the Liverpool Echo about Lime Street Station . The caption is
"Queues at Lime Street Station, Liverpool. September 3, 1960 (Image: Mirrorpix)". It doesn't look like Lime Street and the sign says "Way Out to buses for Lime Street Station".
If the date is right , it's before the Loop line , so is it one of the other mainline stations or Woodside?

Could it be Liverpool Riverside station? But this is just a guess.

That was my initial thought. Looks vaguely like Edge Hill but it's a long time since I used the station!

It does look a bit like Edge Hill but that canopy looks wrong.

This view of platform 4 at Edge Hill looks promising with the curved wall. The door and window on the right also seem to match.
