Where have all the Class 466s gone?

Not sure if anyone can help me with this, but I'd thought I'd post it anyway.

Can anyone tell me why Southeastern are using a Class 508 on the Sheerness Line instead of a 466? There is still one 466 running, just the other one has been replaced with an albeit nicely-refurbished-but-still-highly-unreliable Class 508.

I'm not really bothered, as the 508s have more room and are more comfortable, but I'd like to know if the dreaded 508s are making a come back in the new timetable in May, even though it isn't mentioned on the Southeastern website .... :-?

Thanks in advance guys.

I think 12 508s went south to Southeastern to allow 466s to be added to some peak 465 operated services, as far as I know they have been reduced to just 6 in use with SE for use on 4 diagrams. Silverlink (London Overground) got some 508s too.

The 508's are fab, as long as you don't need a ****

Bromley North to Grove Park and Sittingbourne to Sheerness is booked to be a single 466 all day. A 508 appeared due to non availability. The vast majority of Strood to Paddock Wood services are also a single 466 although 508's are on the morning services.

A single 466 sits in Platform 2 at Blackfriars all day and is attached to a 465 for an afternoon BF-SV. Most of the 466's are used to bolster services rather than being used on their own
