Try this one on for size. Taken from Streetview.

Have a look at this one,

North is to the left of the shot.

:?: Hang on a moment - a point of order - isn't this the maps thread but it's suddenly morphed into a copy of the Guess the Station thread? :?:

Crikey so it is! Never noticed when trying to guess the previous station pic posted by Trainfan344, where do we go from here?

If in doubt, I suggest you refer to the quizmaster(s) for guidance, but I guess if you just post a map of the station in your photograph that'll be the quickest way of getting things back on track?

It's not a totally map thread, but the pictures have to give a fair amount of local detail, so the picture should include more than just the station.
This is a good example: http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=2258543&postcount=513

Cheers for that Buttsy,

Picture has been amended.

As the others have pointed out, this thread deals with mainly maps and aerial views of stations (and their environs), rather than Guess the Station, which deals with pictures taken from within the station/on the ground.

Ash Bridge's current posting is perfectly valid for use in this game.

Just a reminder that Ash Bridge's posting was amended so there is still a location to be guessed.

Hey just a minute, you're pinching my trick rotating the image!

At least I mentioned which direction was North, btw. Pont-y-Pant :)

This station name cracks me up. Imagine if it was written swapped around the -y- Anyway, I think the next thing to make this thread more tricky would be to shear the image or twist it like a cone through Photoshop or something haha.

It appears you may be the only person Gathursty who knows the answer. I can think of a number of stations that have staggered platforms (if I'm interpreting the photo correctly), but they all have a level crossing and not a bridge, so I'm stumped.

It's Shepley on the Penistone line I strongly suspect. Open floor if correct.
