was due to close over the whit bank holiday, but it still appears to be in use.

has the closure been delayed because of the problems in stabilising the cutting sides at salters lane ?

so does that mean that all the major track alterations have been done ?

i.e. will the switch over be for all 4 tracks from tamworth to amington ?

you are quite right, there is a two week blockade of the trent valley from 23 aug to 07 sep inclusive.
so i presume that 22 aug will be the last day in service for tamworth sb.

going........

on 23 august
all signals switched off and the nameboard removed.
Signalbox itself still intact, with roof on.

track works have commenced to join up the slow lines at the north end of tamworth station and also align the up slow with the new part fo the london bound platform.

also the southern end of the london bound platform is being demolished, as far as the steps leading up to platform 4.
