When do new ticket prices show?

Obviously with fares rising again this weekend has got me thinking.

If I had looked at train tickets for post 2nd March in January, would I be seeing the old price, or the new price starting in March?

If the old price, when does the system get updated to reflect the new prices?

You’d have seen the old price in January, the new price would have been payable from 2 Feb.

This year was the first for a while that the new prices were loaded ready to be sold 4 weeks in advance of the date, there was a thread about it at the time:
