When are references checked?

Pretty much as per the title.

I have a few jobs under consideration with network rail and really don't want to have a difficult talk with work unless necessary.

Usually once you’ve been offered a job and have accepted.

Can’t say specifically for NWR, but it’s usually pretty similar across the board. Some companies ask applicants if they’re happy having references checked before being offered a job, but usually they just do it after.

NWR check after the job is offered... at least mine was....
