I rode on 387301 and 387126 yesterday and 301 sounded like it had bad wheel flats on the London end near the cab (continuously banging from Ely to Cambridge). This may also cause some problems for the fleet if it is out of service to get the wheels machined back to being round!

A lot of the Thameslink and Great Northern fleet is currently rolling about with square wheels. Overall maintenance has seen a marked downfall (from a passenger perspective) in recent months, last week a train with defective DOO equipment was sent out in service with it's calls at unstaffed stations cancelled.

Yeah the 700s on the Rainham Kent runs have been absolutely Knackered. Flats are pretty much on every other unit I use in the mornings to get to work and when coming back. Hoping they at least have some better maintenance plans for the 379s!!
