Mine is Pangbourne in Berkshire. My grandparents used to live there, and when I grew up in the 70s and 80s used to spend the entire 6 week hols at their house, which was adjacent to the railway line. I remember the 31s, 33s, 47s, 50s, 56s and also when 125s first appeared. There used to be some amazing freight back then including military vehicles and lots of car transporters. I used to stand on the station so I could feel the whoooosh as they all shot past.

I went back there last week for a couple of hours, to escape London (had to go down for my Cuban visa for next week) and visit my grandparents grave, I shot some video which I've put in the photo / vids section. The link is here if you want to see what Pangbourne station is like: http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?p=518314#post518314 .

Berney Arms, for quirkiness, the wonderful location and being very, very small. :)

Oldfield Park, in Bath - admittedly haven't been there for well over a decade (as moved away from the area) but have very fond memories of that station, watching 56's, 47's, 37's and 58's on the Avon binliner, 47's on mail trains, and 37's with rakes of mark 2's on the Weymouth.

Bridge of Allan; it's the one I use to get to uni.

Is it not a shorter walk to Stirling Station?

My favourite station has got to be Dunblane (which is probably the smallest city-centre* terminus* on the network)

*Terminus in that 3 trains an hour terminate there
*Cathedral City - and someone is bound to whine that it's not on the list of official UK cities, and just calls itself a city due to a historic anomally.

I won't whine, i believe Elgin and Brechin are the same.

Mine would be Oakham my local station. Why? well the regular member of staff there is a legend always makes announcements opens early is there past closing time and is always there early to sweep the platforms empty bins and generally tidy up. He also looks after the plants and bushes on the station and does an amazing job

Hebden Bridge can be nice and of course many of the stations on the Settle and Carlisle.

Greenfield comes with a nice pub as a waiting room and as the limit of GMPTE tickets is pretty useful.

There are many pretty looking stations up and down the country but my favourite really has to be the simplest of them all, the new ones that were built to bring services back to communities that lost them a long time ago. It is easy to make unloved stations look better (as the examples above) but opening new ones is much more interesting to me. If more towns can get train services back in this way then it would be brilliant (I think particularly of those on the Midland Mainline between Leicester and Kettering, and one or two places between Melton and Leicester. A nice circular local service on there would be brilliant (think there are some 3 track sections to make such a service possible). I know others will have their favourite examples and daft ideas.

You would have to say most stations on the Kyle or West Highland lines for scenery or lonliness. Hebden Bridge and Worcester Foregate St are nice, as is Dunkeld & Birnham or the Highland ML, and Pitlochry. Berney Arms must also be nice.
