What's open during the week - SVR, KWVR & Middleton?

I'm taking a little road trip next week, and thinking of dropping into the Severn Valley at Kidderminster and one or other of the Middleton Railway or the KWVR. None of them are running trains, so a) are they open at all and b) what is there to see when there's no services?

All their websites list what is and isn't open on non-running days - access through www.heritagerailways.com if you don't have the individual railway's website address.

I'm not certain what the SVR has open, K&WVR - the VCT museum at Ingrow West is open every day (having visited it recently) as is Haworth station. Middleton Railway I'ver never been to but only open at weekends, I think.

Thanks John. I had a look at the websites but they're not very clear as to what's open when. And my work PC doesn't like the SVR one (seeing as we still have IE6!)

Don't think you will see much at the Middleton unless you go on an operating day. Site is (necessarily) protected with fencing. You might see some locos from paths outside the site, but these are unlikely to be positioned in locations suitable for photography.

If you are very lucky, you might find a volunteer working there in midweek, and he / she might let you have a quick look round (don't forget to give a donation to their funds....)

SVR is only open at weekends during November, so everything during Monday to Friday is closed, including 'The Engine House' Visitor Centre.
