what work can I get with a pts?

I have an interview to get on to an NVQ Level 2 in Railways Engineering Permanent Way - Renewals course which gives me a pts card, its 16 weeks long. Do any of you guys or girls think that this course is going to get me any job and if so what will it be. I cant find any jobs on the railways as a pts labourer, which is what im assuming, ill be anywhere in Scotland so should I do the course or not?

I would really appreciate any help as I will have to give up my job (part time in a newsagents) to do the course so need to get work soon after I finish the course.

Agencies that specialise in rail work? It tried things like indeed job, monster job and all those sites but there's nothing on them?

best place for you to start is a web site called railwaypeople. On here you will find most if not all contrators for p way work. It will be best to wait untill you have dun your pts int other wise they will not bother with you.
I have been working for many years now on the p way and once your in your find out who the good companys are and the bad.
