What will happen to the Locos at carnforth

I have been looking through photographs of the former Carnforth steamtown and have noticed many abandoned locos I heard a few weeks ago the scrapman came to scrap something but what really shocked me is that there where even steam locos I saw the chassis of what I think was west country class and Moor importantly 2 Adrew Barclays
does anyone know if the Andrew Barclay have been taken away or if there still there what will happen to them in the future?

The pacific is 34073 249 Squadron, although it may actually be 34054 Lord Beaverbrook according to one source. It is (still) awaiting restoration, not being scrapped.

Andrew Barclay 2343 (British Gypsum No.4) was moved to the Ribble Steam Railway in 2017. They also have another AB that used to be at Steamtown but I'm not sure whether it's the one in your photo, as Steamtown have had (at least) three green ones.

Didn’t they purchase a few of the DRS 57/0’s for spares?

Some of the 47’s have been there for years.
Will only be scrapped when they feel they’ve taken everything they can off them

Where the DRS 57/0s were in working condition they were put into operation.

Ultimately as a business, the locomotives that are used are the ones which are easiest to keep operational, and the ones which are broken are used for spares.

I understand that one of the cylinders from 34073 has been used to repair 34067 after it's accident

The site is still an active depot being the northern home of West Coast Railways sky most thinks on site are in service, for repair/overhaul or providing spares. As stated up thread some of the pictures are quite old given that Steamtown closed to visitors a long time ago.

I think WCR procured the initial three 57/0s from bankrupt Adrian Parcell. 57001 57005 57006 and I think one of them suffered a cracked engine blocked from not being drained during the winter. So one of the initial; three was a "knacker", but I think the other two ran in traffic from Carnforth.

No idea the condition of the more recent purchased 57/0s but the 57/3s and "Ronnie" {57601} all run.
