what will become of 57005?

Bankrupt Advenza's 57 been sitting in the siding at Cardiff since at least October. who will have a use for it next? someone on the station told me it is sitting there empty of fuel, not sure. why is it left dumped here, couldn't they have taken it to Canton to do something with it, or is it meant not to be touched? in Nov there was a DRS 66 next to it and i thought that was removing it but no it's still there

Was it owned by Advenza then? Or leased?

If it was leased, it is quite simply the property of the leasing company and they will deal with it how they see fit.

If Advenza owned it, it is probably still owned by the appointed administrators who will be probably looking for a buyer to recover costs.

The 66's were there to simply take over the 57's Scrap working, Cardiff - Shipley, ran by DRS

They didn't appear as company assets of Cotswold Rail in December when the company went into liquidation.

I based it on what the P5 book states and I'm sure I had read that was the case on other forums.

How are these 3 locos stored exactly, have they just been left after there last duties and switched off? Or have they been drained of fluids and had exhaust ports covered to protect them from the elements? If Advenza/Cotswold's administrators are to sell them on then surely it would be in there interests to pay a contractor to protect them, they've got to worth more as working loco's as opposed to locos that have seized up and need money spent on them to make them operational again having been stood up for goodness knows how long?

The one at Cardiff definitely hasn't got it's exhaust covered. Not sure about the others though.

Seem to remember 57006 had just delivered a couple of GC PCs back from Brush (?) when the company folded, which is why it is at Heaton.

Mumrar posted here at the of the fold that the 47 was available for 40k and the 57s for 120k apiece, suggesting they were owned by Advenza

It's owned by Cotswold Rail, which means it's basically it's owned by the administrators.
