What was this line used for?

Does anyone know what this line was used for? One end of the line goes to March and the other to the back of a car park! Located off the A47, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

That's the track of the old Wisbech-March line, taken OOU in the 1980s I believe.

According to our friends at Wiki the Pedia, there was an idea about reopening it, although I don't seem to recall hearing any more about it since.
