What trains need what staff

I have my train dispatch test this week. Some things I’m struggling with are the methods of dispatch and the staff needed for each class of train. Can anyone help me with the staff needed for each class of train. On the southeastern network. Many thanks

As Tractor2018 says, you need to ask your teacher, as the thing you ask is quite fundamental to the roll and at this stage ( test this week)you should be well up on it, also it will depend on location.

It varies on Southeastern - class 375 and 465 for example can be driver only or require a guard depending on the route.

You need to ask your instructor if you're not sure as what is needed will be specific to your area or location. As long as you ask before the test rebriefing you on this shouldn't be an issue.

It does really vary. Driver Only, platform staff via bat and flag or CD/RA, conductor only, conductor and station staff together. I'd be asking for a little help if you are struggling as any answers here may be operator specific. My TOC uses a variety of DOO, CD/RA and Bat and Flag etc.

Do you have access to SE intranet? The types of dispatch and the dispatch arrangements for each station are there. Out of interest, which depot will you be based at?

Southeastern has a range of dispatch methods dependent on location - and numbers would depend on train length and even platform - as I’m sure you know, so this isn’t going to be a simple answer. I’m going to assume you’re a station dispatcher not train crew so need to be aware for your location(s), but your trainer should help assist if you haven’t already asked for help.

Reads like they are station staff, not crew to me.
