What Train is this please?

I have seen these in Penzance quite a few times lately and im a bus fan could tell you any bus model but with trains I’m not so good…. This train appeared on route to Penzance and Very comfortable seem very clean and quite fast but seem to have electrical faults on doors but very comfy seats much nicer than the hitachi ones and very bright interior lots seems like the windows allow more natural light in too and they have usb and plugs in much better location also great leg room. Anyone know why they are here how long for where they come from and why they’re here I’m sure that train fans knew of these already

175 replaces HST (withdrawn)
175 replaces 80x (back to HSS work)

That's a Class 175
They left service with TfW a couple years ago and are now entering service with GWR.

It's a Class 175. They've been in storage whilst their future were decided, formerly operated by Transport for Wales. They're operating between Plymouth and Penzance only at the minute, both on training runs, and the only public service being the 13:40 Plymouth to Penzance and the 15:52 Penzance to Plymouth. They in-part replace the shortened HSTs which should allow the IETs to return to services more suited to them.

They are class 175 units. The 175/0 are 2 carriage units and the 175/1 are 3 carriage units.
Previously they were operated by Transport for Wales but most have now moved to Great Western Railway for regional services in Devon and Cornwall.

It's a Class 175 Cordia. These were formerly with Transport for Wales and stored since 2023, they've been leased to GWR in part to replace the last of the Castle HST sets that were withdrawn a few months ago. Currently only working selected services between Plymouth & Penzance, but are intended for regional services across Devon & Cornwall. All but one of the 27 units have been leased to GWR iirc.
