Yes, I'd like to know this as well, as I'll take my lads down to Saltaire to see it. What will be working it do you know?

Which paper has this competition? The T&A?

Official times haven't been released yet, the Railway Touring Company page for the tour does have some provisional timings though, suggesting that it'll pass Keighley at 10:25:

http://www.railwaytouring.co.uk/index.php/the-waverley---sundays-240711-to-040911.html

That page also states that the loco for the trip will be chosen out of "Leander", "Oliver Cromwell", "Scots Guardsman" or 44932, with sister Black Five 45407 also mooted on the Steam Railtours website. So more than likely something with a LMS pedigree!

Me and my brother would love to know, we're heading up to Carlisle on the day on a Waverley but getting some other tours as well:

"Leander",

Is currently out undergoing overhaul

"Oliver Cromwell"

Maybe but is doing the Cumbrian Mountain Express from Scouseland the previous day so doubtful

"Scots Guardsman"

Yes please!

This is just a lump of cheese and hopefully will stay in Carnforth where she belongs, rots and dies so that no one misses her!

This is the number one choice according to the uksteam website so it would look like The Lancashire Fusilier is going to cross from Yorkshire to Cumbria

So It doesn't stop at Keighley Anymore??????

No - the letter with the tickets says something like operationa difficulties. I wonder if they have had to take this out to reflect the later start from York.

For me the later start is great becuase i can get the early train to York and make the train.

It's pretty much ok anywhere except Leeds station from past experience. :)

Cheers i knew that you weren't aloud at leeds due to it being busy all the time but just i just wanted to know if its ok to use one

They have a point there: however I would argue that platform ends are quite and hence should be exempt. Anyway they don't give a toss because they're not enthusiasts.<(:|

Sorry for going off topic here.

I meant regular passengers ;)

If there's usually some there for a tour, then there'll probably be some there tomorrow.
