What should be done with Crossrail 2?

I would suggest that it be rebuilt under a rebrand. Thameslink 2? NESW link? Something to distance it from its predecessor.

The Edward VIII line?
Elizabeth Line if diverted' come have been the Windsor Line; and if beyond Abbey Wood to Chatham the Elizabeth I line if there was the stomach for it?
The Charles line- maybe if he never makes it to king? The Fleeting line? As opposed to the Elizabeth rusting fleet line ...
So much fun- truly tragic; the never-to-b line?
Reroute to incorporate Northern Heights; stations already there?
The Napoleon/ Austerlitz line-no Waterloo or Trafalgar Square.
Out-line. Bottom Line ...

Edward VIII doesn't have much named after him... Maybe its because he abdicated or perhaps its related to the government decision to get him out of Europe during WW2?

I can't see Crossrail 2 getting constructed until Crossrail 1 finally opens and sufficient time passes to forget the cost overruns and ~4 year delay.
