What route will LNER take for the MML Bedford diversions?

Its going to feel strange to see LNER at Bedford station next weekend, apparently they are running a couple of services down the MML, due to maintenance works between Peterborough and Kings Cross on the ECML.

Which makes me wonder where the link crossover is, for trains to switch major route lines like that.

LNER running from York to Bedford - then passengers have to change to Thameslink. Saint Pancras would be chaos with LNER rolling in there, with EMR's regular fleet.

Doncaster then across to Sheffield and down the mml I imagine.

Shame in situations like today that can't be done, but obviously needs route conductors or hired in drivers planned many months in advance.

Doncaster then Barrow Hill. The trains don't go into Sheffield proper.

Indeed all services of that nature require route conductors.

Its actually two weeks time (Bank Holiday weekend), not next weekend. On 30th August Shown on RTT. 1Z22 and 1Z26 - 0826 and 1227 Newcastle to Bedford.
Direct from Rotherham (Masborough Junction) to Chesterfield via the "Old Road"

It's going to be fun for returning LNER passengers at St Pancras, they'll be queueing back to Kings Cross. :)
