Hows the job going fella, have you finished at St Davids house yet (If you were there)?
I thought he was working on Newport station?
St Davids House is a building used by AW in Cardiff. It could well be the location for where an induction to the company is held, much like Basingstoke being where SW's induction week is held.
I would have too if it weren't for the fire alarms seemingly going off and evacuating the place on a fairly regular basisAh, I see. I assumed it was in Exeter

Yes St Davids house Cardiff is where ATW staff mostly go for training, there was a guy going to Newport station on the induction I did there..... Before the next 5 months spent doing rules & traction down there & living in the Holiday Inn courtesy of ATW.
Induction course covers all grades btw & has such fun as fire training, diversty training not to mention loads more fun.

lol, it was all good fun, done all the training now, on Newport now dispatching (under supervision), doing disabled/elderly assists and general stupid passenger enquiries. Its all good though! Just got to do my rules exam now before I can dispatch by myself.

Alun just remember that a large percent of the traveling public can be the rudest most abnoxious people you will ever meet. Crazy demands & stupid questions will be the order of the day. Just dont take any to heart as these people are just venting there anger at being a bit too dense to understand how rail transport works.
Just saying that as a lot of people I know get a bit wound up by it from time to time, some even fight back which is never pretty. If in doulbt & being harrased by a real git just reply with the "sorry I'm traincrew, I don't work here" Then randomly point at the other end of the platform & say "See that guy in the [insert colour of far off member of the publics coat], he's platform staff & will be glad to help you." Then retire to mess room/different platform.

lol gotta love pushing the blame elsewhere... disappeared out the back door and left the supervisor to it when a moody customer was walking it lol. Also gotta love the people who try getting on the train when the doors are locked. Gave the first tip to a HST today, doors locked a bloke walks up and says can i get on? I reply no, to which he says oh give me a break... wtf? lol if you want to catch this one be here in time for it lol
