Every person, every day, everywhere, has something they don't really want to do. What was it like for you then today?
Mine was definately once half way up the temporary 'Nottingham Eye' realising how tall it was and wanting to get off, as the wind shook the pod thing on it like a see-saw!

You mean on the bonnets? If it was the bonnet doors then starting the loco should have not caused you any harm other than the compressor may have been running, although can't see what harm it would have done.

Today it was two very suspicious and official looking letters from a credit card company. I still owe thousands, and am on a repayment plan. So every now and then they try and put a little pressure on me to pay more. so letters like this make me nervous.
and what were they? a change to my terms and conditions. on a card I cant even ****ing use anymore!!!!!!!

My bike playing up on me when I was going quite fast down a crowded street.

Today I had to drive freight train consisting of 35 empty coal wagons. I was entering a station in the middle german no-man's-land and I was about to pass through this station. I was driving a German class 189 at about 110 to 115 kmph (~ 70 mph), the trains maximum allowed speed was 115 kmph. A was coming a around a curve and I saw a boy standing at the edge of the platform of this station. I thought: "No, that one is not the next one (...I am lashing down)". And the boy (it was a school child) was jumping down on the track. Then I've done the typical things you have to do in such a situation: Apply breaks in emergency position, emergency loco switch-off and hooting sometimes. You can't do any more. But he went away, no he was running away after a few seconds... But I didn't release the brakes until my train has stopped. Why was the boy waiting at the platform until he saw my train and then jumped down?
And how many stupid people like those have to die under trains? I guess there weren't enough yet..
