What is this? (Historic Coal-Related Infrastructure)

Can anyone identify what this piece of former railway infrastructure is please?

The context for this is that it’s in some former coal sidings.

I’d be particularly interested in what the two pieces of metal are in the four foot at the top of the image, as well as what the metalled area at the bottom of the image was for.

looks like a weigh bridge and axle counter( top of picture)

Definitely a weigh bridge, and they are directional treadles in the 4ft.
