What is this car?

Can anyone recognise this car? It's in an article I'm reading, the caption says it';s 1930s, but it looks newer than that to me.

With some Google Lens sleuthing it looks like it could be an Austin A40 Somerset which you're right would be from the early 1950s.

Thanks. I think you're right. It probably doesn't make much difference to the article concerned.

As above, an A40 Somerset and made from '52-'54. To be fair it does look as though it could be from the 30s compared to particularly US vehicles from the early 50's.
