Does anyone know why the RMT are bringing their members out on the 1st October when there are no trains runing?

Because there is a day of action with many other unions on strike like ASLEF and CWU

Does anyone know why the RMT are bringing their members out on the 1st October when there are no trains runing?
There are big TOC's, such as SWR not involved in the Aslef action which would be running normally if RMT were not on strike that day.

There's only 12 TOCs on strike that day so plenty of opportunity to disrupt the other TOCs and FOCs services.

As has been stated above it is part of a day of action. This thread is now locked as such threads become toxic very quickly as a result of the strength of feeling on both sides.
