what is tee occ?

Hi I keep seeing tee occ banded around and haven't a clue what it stands for? did all the old tests and have apps in at the moment but as the old ones don't now stand :roll: what exactly are the new ones about, I did

cbi interview

What else am I going to have to take and are they similar to the old ones? Have been told that some old passes still count? IE dots and dials is this true and can you pay to do the new ones? thanks

Go to the top right and click on search , choose posts and type in teaocc, loads of info, I sat it 2 weeks ago it's not hard to do

Where I work they are valid for 5 years and the old ones still count, I've just started training having passed the old tests a year ago.

From what I have seen on these forums, some of the TOCs might get you to do the new assessments test which were not covered in the old ones, as for which TOCs do this I am not sure.

As for the TEA-OCC assessment this has been covered by plenty of other posts/threads on the forum and a quick search you'll find most of the answers you are looking for e.g. http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=91301

A few guys on here told me plus one I think who had passed the old ones last year and had re-sit all the new as the old ones where not viable anymore? I am well cheesed off with the whole thing seems a little unfair to me but hey!! who do you work for buddy if the old ones still stand? to be honest starting to think I will never get there 7 month process to past the last ones got the DM interview and still have not heard from them that I have failed just presuming now as that was back in October so.... anyway knowing who you work for would be helpful cheers

Pretty much. I was under the impression that all operators were *meant* to get all potential candidates to resit the tests, regardless of how far through the process, if they hadn't yet signed on the dotted line.

For what its worth, I think the new tests are more difficult on the whole, but the pass mark is seemingly shifted downwards to compensate, making it feel like the same of number of candidates are progressing, but the skillset is subtly different.
