Having recently joined, I'm pleased to find a really nice friendly forum, I've spent a lot of time since 2005 on another friendly forum called Sabre (a roads site which I was site manager for two years), but having faced a baptism of fire on some forums in the past, I've found this one to be quite nice indeed... I've also recently rejoined Skyscrapercity and hell that really does get you fired up and angry with the abrasive nature of some posters... I've found myself been rude back.

Anyways, had my say... Cheers folks, keep up the good work

I find this forum a lot better with the rules and that, and as you see under my name, Im on moderation and that it gives me a better chance to make sure I dont post drivel. Thats one of the good points of this forum, they give people a chance to get better at posting and improve whereas most other forums go straight to a ban (which im guilty of on a few forums ) Apologies if this post violates any rules about moderating decisions, hopefully it will get approved!

A lot less pedantic than most railway and similar forums. When you ask a question and make a slight mistake, much more useful to actually get an answer than just someone pointing out your mistake.

Why have I never been on moderation then? - BTW that was rhetorical and I don't really want to go on moderation.

Compared to forums general it is rather civilised in here, a bit heated sometimes but then life would be boring without the odd difference of opinion/ debate.

Seriously though, glad you think that way. I've found it to be friendly and has certainly enhanced my knowledge to the point where I'm the go to guy for any rail journey in my house xD
