I've been lurking and gradually adding comments since July as I was tentatively looking at vacancies. Since then things have happened very very fast! I'm taking Assessment 2 this week for FGW and although I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, I've been trying to find out what happens next?

If I get to the end of the day then I should be confident that I've passed all the tests, I could still fail on the MMI but if I pass that what's the next stage with FirstGroup? Is it Manager Interview then medical then job offer? There's nothing in the practice materials that mentions what's to be expected after Assessment 2. I've also scoured these forums but there's so much information, especially after the tests have changed so I'm sorry if it's something that common knowledge.

I believe it's a DM interview with a depot manager and then your medical/references. Only the assesments changed. The DM interview is not part of the assessment as far as I'm aware. So you can fail this as many times.

Congratulations on passing the first set of tests! I'm in the same boat as you, part two next week. Northern do the DM interview before the assessments so I'm not sure how it works either. Presumably if I pass I should get a place on the course subject to medical, but if more than the required number pass I'm not sure. Maybe it's ranked by highest pass marks.

In your case, I would imagine the DM interview will decide it (should you pass). Good luck!

Thanks guys. I guess I should learn to be patient and just see what comes next but I like to be organised and forward thinking LOL

Can anyone tell me how long it took for them to hear the outcome of their assessment 2? I know that for some it will be days and others it was weeks or even months but a rough guide will help set my mind at rest. Many thanks again, you're all so helpful and I hope I can repay the favours.

Hi

What did you do on the first assessment for First Great Western, which job role did you apply for?

Thanks
