What happened to this 442?

I forget the context, but I was looking at Class 442 on Google image search, and saw this picture:

It came from this thread on this very forum some time ago (although the original image link is dead). I'm just curious as to what happened exactly. I Googled and found nowt.

It's probably no where near as serious as

when a piggy hit a cement mixer. I think I remember reading somewhere that had it not hit the cement mixer it would have formed one of the trains involved in the Clapham crash so was probably fated to be involved in a crash that day. Had the lead coach gone over, would it have taken the rest of the train down the embankment with it?

Yeh sadly casualties may not have been so severe if the 442 had been involved rather than the TC/REP (the heavy front motor coach and the open plan buffet coach were wrecked.

Thinking ahead to retirement in 2016 the little piggie thought it would see if it could try its hand at being a tram train.
