What happened to Thameslink services last night?

The national rail website just said "Emergency services have dealt with an incident at Harpenden allowing all lines to reopen. Your journey may be delayed by up to 45 minutes ... This is expected to continue until end of service". However, the problems persisted into late evening (e.g. no trains running north from Kentish Town from 21:30 until 23:xx). I got home via alternative route and called national rail service helpline but they could not give me an answer.

Does anybody know what happened, or know a website where I can find this information please? Thank you.
