What happened to 444 021

Could someone tell me what happened to 444 021. I know Halloween is around the corner but this isn’t the surprise I was expecting.

It’s been damaged in an incident and temporarily repaired and can run with that cab inside a 10 car pair.

How many years are we into the SWR 'franchise' now? The amount of units still sporting SWT 'colours', both internally, and externally is ridiculous! More often than not, I'm boarding SWR services that are still sporting SWR colours.

All I know is what is written in the linked thread. But reading between the lines, it may have been a person that was hit.

If it was a collision with a tree or something similar I expect people would be happy to have said so..

Okay? Idk if a person could cause that much of damage. I think if may of been an animal or a vehicle.

You'd be surprised... As much as it's grim to think about, the average adult male (the most likely demographic to end up in that situation) weighs around 85kg. Whilst the human will always come off worse against a train there will still be some impact damage from that mass.
