It shows whatever the signaller needs it to - ultimately it’s their “chalkboard”; as long as they understand what something means then that’s that.

The Wet Beds are still there; it’s just the signaller evidently doesn’t feel the need to spell it out on the workstation.
Thanks, we could dream it had been fixed (or just not rained as much).

I did see it go to 20 MPH across the two boxes at one point. Nothing there at the moment.

A stupid question, but presumably the presence of a note in a box does not prevent trains from entering that section. So even when the line was displaying WET BED it could have been used in the same way it could when it said 20 MPH and can now with nothing on there? However, presumably nothing can go into the MYST ERY at Exeter Central in the above example.

There’s no link at all between what is (or isn’t) written in a TD berth, and whether or not the signaller can signal trains into that section.

A section may be blocked for engineering or incidents and nothing shown, or a train may terminate somewhere, have its headcode deleted and nothing input, and the public data would show a clear section when there’s something there.

On the signallers panel the track circuits themselves will be occupied or clear, plus there will be reminders or paperwork in place, or there may be post in notes, simplifiers or magnets giving information, which is why all these websites must always be read with a pinch of salt.

At the risk of straying off topic, is the WON publically available somewhere? Don't work on the rails myself but a cautious newbie enthusiast.
The WON is an internal document and private, as you can see from a front cover:IMG_7564.jpeg
Image shows a front cover of an example Weekly Operating Notice or WON, including the following text:
PRIVATE AND NOT FOR PUBLICATION
NETWORK RAIL
Western and Wales
Route
WW Week No.38 re-issued
WEEKLY OPERATING NOTICE
Containing
SAFETY NOTICES
TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS
ENGINEERING ARRANGEMENTS
SIGNALLING AND PERMANENT WAY ALTERATIONS
(NEW ITEMS)
(DETAILS OF WORK ALREADY CARRIED OUT)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTICES
(AMENDMENTS TO OPERATING PUBLICATIONS)
(MISCELLANEOUS INSTRUCTIONS)
SATURDAY 16 DECEMBER 2023
to
FRIDAY 22 DECEMBER 2023

THIS NOTICE COVERS ALL LINES SHOWN IN THE

As it is classed as private, I'm not going to show any more.

The phrase "PRIVATE AND NOT FOR PUBLICATION" on railway operating documents indicates only that copies are not required to be lodged with the six legal deposit libraries* - it doesn't necessarily indicate that the contents are confidential. Although in many cases they are.

*These are: The British Library (London), The National Library of Scotland (Edinburgh), The National Library of Wales (Aberystwyth), The Bodleian Library (Oxford), Cambridge University Library (Cambridge) and Trinity College Library (Dublin)

I don't believe they are routinely published to the public.

If you're a member of the signalling records society, you can see past WONs up until 2017 here: https://www.s-r-s.org.uk/ArchiveWon/network.php

Network Rail has published WONs in FOI requests previously. You can find some on WhatDoTheyKnow. If you're really interested, you could make your own request.

You can view the Periodic Operating Notices on the network rail website but they're not as in depth as WONs.

To ensure this reply stays on topic - I will reiterate that you will find various information in the WON that relates to TD berths. Posessions, lines taken out of use, equipment taken out of use. The PONs can also be of use, but generally not as great of a resource.

I stumbled across this recently and it has since been changed to something more appropriate, probably due to Management intervention..

Images show berths at Wembley Central reading as "Please Fix me" in first image, then changed to "Out of Use" in the second.

Or possibly a change of shift and the relieving signaller putting in what suits them.

Lovely to see the usual Christmas messages appearing around the network! Rather amusingly, Carlisle station has the lyrics to “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on the platforms!
