Hello all,

Another Heathrow Connect question! I am lost to what dedicated shuttle unit 360 205 does to work the shuttles? I see in the HC timetable there are 2 units that go to Heathrow terminal 4 from Padd, and I thought one terminates there to work the T1,2,3 shuttles. However they both come back to Paddington after.

Does 360 205 (or the spare should it be broke I guess) work ECS from Old Oak EMUD to Heathrow Central or does it lodge at Terminal 4 every night? If it comes from the depot, I guess it works as a Class 3 headcode. Would anyone know what time it works off the depot too (and when it comes back?)

I am struggling to see why HC don't run direct anymore. According to Journey Planner, if you went by rail from Hayes & Harlington to Terminal 4, it would take just over 30 minutes including the waiting around for the shuttle at Heathrow Central! :o

Cheers,

James.

The shuttle (was driving it all morning yesterday) goes ECS from Pad (0457) to CTA then forms a shuttle to T4, the first 2 Connects also goto T4 but thereafter (0533 onwards) only goto to CTA then ECS to T5.

The reason being to protect HEx revenue from T5.

The shuttles connect with the HEx depts at CTA so giving customers from T4 a quicker connection to Pad.

From experience most customers on Connect got off at CTA anyway with only 1 or 2 going onto to T4.

BTW we have some nice new carpet in 205 now :o)
