I do a bit of writing as well, I've won a few competitions for Junior writers. Some of my scripts have been adapted into local performances.

Writers block, you just have to deal with it. When I get the block, I just move onto Trainz!

Oh no. This isn't going to end up like the mile high club thread is it !!

I wasn't around when that thread was formed, but I've read through most of it, and yes, I think it is.

I'll make an attempt at keeping the thread on course by listing two more of my hates:

1) The Atos Anne system on FCC
2) Manchester United

Radio 1 is utter sh*te. As you like rock music, you will be displeased to hear that Jo Wiley [Radio 1 DJ] once said that the Kaiser Chiefs were better than Pink Floyd...

music is opinion though.. i dont like pink floyd but like kaiser chiefs so i could say i think they are better but that is not the point....

Sectarianism

Racism

Sexism

Ageism

etc, etc, oh! and olives, the devils food!

I Thought that was Brussels Sprouts. (In fact I quite them them).

I think I agree with most hates written here already, another thing that annoys me are umbrellas, the user always seem to be intent in spiking my eyes out. Especially those big sports ones. Some thing else I don't like is cheap, naff faux designer clothing- generally made out of made made fibres like acrylic.

People who equate knowing things with being intelligent (It's not how many facts you have crammed in, but how you use them).
People who react with inverse snobbery to intelligence
People who sneer at classical music as being "posh".
People who use "posh" as an unthinking criticism.

Errr, Smethwick!
People using phones etc; in a 'quiet' train carriage

Children without volume control or discipline in quiet carriages. And to the family who joined the 0640 Birmingham Snow Hill to Marylebone at Bicester North on Saturday, July 2: "Does the phrase Quiet Zone mean something different in the Yew-Ess-of-Ay, y'all?"

Children without volume control anywhere.

Children.

Not if you were with me baybeh! There's sex and there's making love, there's a big difference.

I'll take your word for it :D I'm off to put the kettle on.

I've heard that people in Amsterdam occasionally throw those things into canals...

Anyway, I'd like to see someone try to straddle two parking spaces in one of those G-Wiz things...

Really? I can understand why if they are playing car park commando!!!! Sadly no canal near my tesco....

Fully agree.

I drink tea like there's no tommorow. I probably average about six cups a day, my addiction is serious!

Coffee on the other hand is not for me. It's OK when it's really milky, but otherwise, yuck!

Irn Bru is a good mixer for vodka  as well as (ironically) being good hangover cure.
