Well if the class 465/466 units are still in service come 2032, then the class 465 units would have done about 40 years service. With the potential that start dates could slip, a start date of October 2027 would make sense to be replacing the networkers.All I know is that Southeastern railway is tendering for new rolling stock to be in service in October 2027.

What isn't acceptable is the condition of them. I'm not sure I've been in trains where interior panels are coming loose, and so many of the windows are fogged up for example.
