...Is it simply a station where there's a member of staff who knows how to do it?

EC's website has, for months, fallen over whenever I've tried to amend an EC advance ticket. EC web support claim it's my browser, but I've tried it on different browsers/operating systems/ISPs and it never works. But if I get a colleague to log in, it works properly.

I live near Guiseley station, so should they be able to amend an advance ticket? Or do I need to make a special trip in Leeds to do it?

Schedule 17 states whether or not reservations have to be issued at any given station. I was never obliged to do them, despite having full facilities to do so.

If you have the actual tickets in your possession, a manned ticket office can do it (infact I'd say they have to under impartial retailing), they should know how to do it, but if it is a former Sportis office, they may need some.....education.

The station also has to have a PC and network connection. Small stations with a part-time ticket office may not do; there are several SET stations in the back end of Kent where an RPI with an Avantix Mobile goes out for a few hours in the morning and runs a ticket office. Such offices can't do anything Advancey as they are not connected up.

Avantix is shown as the approved TiS at numerous shacks in Schedule 17!

They can't change it to another advance (because advantix can't do advance fares AFAIK), I didn't think they could issue admin fees either.
