Hello bus types, I was on a rail replacement coach between Newport and Bristol yesterday, and I never had time to look at the badge on the coach I caught, I'd recognise an interior shot, but unfortunately I'm not up on my coaches, all I have is this cab shot, does anyone know what type of coach it is?

Cheers.

Looks like a Volvo of some description, probably a B9R or similar, not up on the latest Volvo cabs but mid 2000's looked like this, any idea of what body work it had?

It had a silver badge on the front, I think that badge may have been circular in shape (not a Merc star though).

The bodywork was quite sweeping at the front if I remember correctly.

EDIT: after some googling I'm pretty sure it was a Plaxton Paramount or Panther.

Its a Plaxton bodied B12M/B12B. The switches are definitely plaxton and the dashboard is the slightly older type used on Volvo coaches until around 2006. It could also be a B7R - I hope not. Underpowered wretched things.
