I used to be a big IE fan but I now use Firefox 4 for security reasons mainly.

I use firefox 6 because I like testing. Chromium (essentially chrome for linux) is my backup browser

I will use IE9 for a back-up if I have any site issues with Firefox

I use Firefox 3.6.16 currently but I'm planning on upgrading to version 4 in the near future. I also have IE9 as a back up but rarely use it. I've used Chrome before but I didn't really like it so went back to Firefox.

Chrome is my favourite. It's sleek, fast and non-intrusive. I also have firefox (which I only rarely use) and still have IE7 installed for the handful of things that still seem to demand IE. I haven't needed to use it for a while now!

I can use FF if need be, but I'm quite content to stick to IE. Safari is OK, though I would rather use the aforementioned browsers.

I did like Chrome but my pc kept crashing while I was using it. I doubt it is chromium's fault (if anything I've narrowed it down to VLC strangely enough) but then I noticed FF6a1 was out and I'm a sucker for unstable software

IIRC IE has never been standards compliant and MS have never cared. I just thought it was an interesting topic given the trend away from IE. I made it multiple choice because people use more than one browser and often one is forced to use something different at work (I had IE6 it's only positive was making me not taking tabbed browsing for granted)

I have and use, depending on application, IE8 and Firefox 4.

Windows wanted me to upgrade to IE9 - I did, and lost the Windows Mail 'paperclip' for saving attachments on emails, and it was very slow too. So removed it again.

I use Chrome. I plan on using the Chrome OS as well. They are both lightweight, easy to use and automatically updated (Currently I use 10.)


Also Chrome has the same name throughout, Chromium is the name of the open-source development process Chrome goes through before it gets released into Browser or OS.

Usually Firefox, though do use Opera when on the "dongle" as it is a bit quicker. Also use IE (8, I think) on -ahem - another computer, but not by choice.

I got FF6 from the Arch User Repository (AUR) for Arch Linux users although it does get it from the link above.

I Use FireFox 3.6 on both my Desktop & Laptop.

Windows keeps bugging me on both to upgrade IE8 to 9. But gladly now got that update hiden.

My Macbook doesn't like Safari (runs slowly) so I use Firefox 4. Used to use it on Windows so got used to it. Never been a fan of Chrome.

P.S. Getting ad's to download Chrome now.

Safari always runs really well on my laptop, though I don't have a Mac. It seems to be quicker. Firefox would be my second choice.

I use Opera - It's been around for ages and always used to be much faster to load pages than anything else. Whilst other browsers have now caught up to some extent, I really like the way it works - it's a bit idiosyncratic, but once you're used to it it's great (mouse gestures and keyboard browsing especially). Also, it doesn't clutter up the screen with toolbars - about 95% of the window is the page you're viewing.

I'm an IE user on Windows (version depends on the laptop/server I am using). Can't be bothered changing to another browser even on my home/work laptoop

I use Firefox at home (but version 4 seems to chug crazily on Facebook). On my phone I use Opera Mini.

I currently use Chrome. Started with IE but that went so slow that I took up with Firefox. Then that went like a tortoise in treacle so went to Chrome. I nearly went back to FF because of the ridiculous problem with Flash incompatibility, but started using latest Beta which doesn't suffer from the same issues.
I just wish it didn't matter, that you could slot any one of them on your chosen platform and it would work as well as any other. But IT just doesn't work like that!
