I arrive in Kona Hawaii at 17.00 Hawaiian time (05.00 UK time on Friday) so the election will be over. I will log in and get the result. Then I will go to the bar for a beer.

Unfortunately, I have to book on for work at 04:33 tomorrow morning, so will be getting to bed very early tonight...

The upside is that hopefully I'll be up just in time to follow a large chunk of the results.

I have two plans:

1 - stay up all night, and there's a nice bottle of barolo set aside to help me (hopefully) celebrate the downfall of the Tories

2 - watch the exit poll and the first declarations to get an idea of the actual swing, have a kip for about 3 hours, and resume at about 2am for (hopefully) the Portillo parade

I'll see how tired I'm feeling at 11pm and decide

Can also make Mrs Trackman breakfast at 3.30am!! happens every GE!

It looks like BBC Europe is showing the full TV coverage, so I'll be seeing the exit poll in the usual manner.

Not sure who does it these days. I guess the days of the 1997 trio of Dimbleby, Snow and Paxman are long past us now (last watched the live coverage in 2015). Would guess Jeremy Vine, for one (a very young version of whom appears on the 1997 election!)

I will be mostly staying up, I am going to the pub soon though. I have planned not to do much work tomorrow as I knew I won't get much sleep. Thankfully Friday has been my day of the past academic year. I may sort of (unofficially) be on call though if anything goes wrong. I will most likely watch it on Channel 4, as I really cannot watch that LK person.

I am dreading as every time I have been in the pub in the past as the exit polls come out the results have been disappointing.

My 14-year-old daughter has devised some bingo cards with the names of various Tory MPs which we cross off if they lose their seat. We'll be playing for a line and a full house, with a prize for each.

I've booked tomorrow off because I suspect my bottle of chablis, which I'll be opening very shortly, will be empty before the morning.

In the bingo style I've just thought of how fun a Guess Who board would be, you can knock them over as and when they lose (or not if they win) their seats.
Each Guess Who board has 24 people, so using both you can have up to 48 guesses as who'll lose their seats (could play it in the bingo style as well)
